I am lucky being studies far from home so that I can know others culture and taste of the local foods. Sarawak especially has many unique taste of food such as Laksa Sarawak, Mee Kolok and totally the famous dessert here is Ice Cream Gula Apong. This ice cream is made of gula apong and it was not that sweet as gula Melaka. For your information, this gula apong look like gula Melaka that made out of coconut, while gula apong is made by of nipah palm. This ice cream will be more perfect if you put it with Oreo as topping. Damn yummeh!!! The best placed you can had is at DP Ice Cream Gula Apong in Kuching. I swear that you will regret if you were not taste it when you came to Sarawak. However, this ice cream Gula Apong have their own competitor.
